Seiyuu: Suwabe Junichi

Yoshida was a disciple of Yoshida Shouin, and plans to continue his master's work until his death. As such, he joined Choushuu to overthrow the Shogunate government. Yoshida accepted Suzu as a page after Suzu's brother's death, and encouraged him to take revenge on the Shinsengumi (who killed Suzu's brother). Yoshida does care for Suzu in some way, though exactly what way is debatable. Yoshida has a cool, calm demeanor, and commands a great deal of respect from the other members of the Choshuu.

Yoshida will not hesitate to kill someone who does not please him. After the incident where some men of Choushuu caused a disturbance outside Masuya, he killed the men in question, even though those men were his own followers.

He also, by the by, has a thing for arson.
