Bio: Kenshin became the feared Hitokiri Battousai
at the tender age of fourteen during the chaotic days of the Bakumatsu. After accidently killing his wife when she tried to
protect him in battle, he vows to never kill again. Now a Rurouni, he tries to help everyone he can as atonement for the people
he killed.
After wandering for ten years, he runs into Kaoru who accuses him of being the Battousai and murdering
several people in the name of her school. (Ironically, she was actually looking for his imposter but wound up with the real
deal). After he saved her from the imposter, Kaoru invites him to stay at her dojo. He agrees and ends up finding a
family for the first time since his childhood.
In my opinion, Kenshin is at his most appealing when he drops
the clueless Rurouni act and lets his true personality show. He is just as kind and passionate for justice, put you also get
to see his emotions and insecurities more openly. In essesence he becomes more human. Personally I think Kaoru prefers him
that way too. ^^
