About Soujiro...

Full name: Soujiro Seta (or Seta Soujiro in the Eastern world. Seta is his SURNAME, folks! NOT his given name!), A.K.A. Tenken no Soujiro (meaning Heaven's Sword, or Heavenly Sword.)

Age: 18 (he IS 18. In the sixteenth volume of Kenshin manga, it says that Soujirou was born in the first year of Bunkyuu, 1861, making him 18 for the final stages of the Kuni Tori).

Birthdate: September 1861.

Height: About 5'4.

Weapons of Choice: Katana (Naga Sone Kotetsu, then Kiku-Ichi-Monji).

Succession Technique: Shun Ten Satsu

Blood Type: AB (For those of you who are interested in personality typing based on blood types lol. ^_^ I've heard that AB is the rarest type. I'm O Positive ^_^)

Soujiro was born to a prostitue (according to most sources) who quickly abandoned him to his father's family- his father being a prominent (and married) rice distributer who wished to avoid scandal. Soujiro was, obviously, not a welcome addition, and so this "family" treated him, to say the least, extremely harsh. (hey, I'm good at making understatements.)

When Shishio took up residence as a fugitive-in-hiding on the Seta property, Soujiro brought him bandages and other supplies; Shishio, in turn, tought Soujiro to use a sword.

Soujiro is unique in that he suppresses all emotions other than happiness (his reason for this being that if he cried, his family would beat him harder, whereas if he kept smiling, his family would lose interest). This, of course, makes his ki nearly non-existent, making him nearly impossible to predict in a fight. He has also been very well-desciplined by Shishio by the time he appears in the RK series, and thereby knows how to use his Shuku-Chi to it's full potential, making him so fast as to be unable to be seen by the human eye- faster than Kenshin's Hiten Mitsurugi Ryo.

To digress, when Soujiro's family learns that the boy had been harboring Shishio, they begin to beat him savagely as punishment....but this time Soujiro retaliates, and kills all of the family. Having no other place to go, he joins Shishio.
